Formula SAE is a world-wide automotive engineering competition held by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The competition provides a unique way to test students’ theoretical knowledge base in a practical, real-industry context through manufacturing and fabrication of formula-style vehicles. Along the way students create and hone their skills in engineering, design, management, and teamwork. Since its inaugural event in 1979, the competition has grown to over 1000 universities across the globe.
